Maksim’s POV
Two Weeks Later:
Isabel loves her new life here in Black Adder. She’s come out of her shell and knows that she is safe. She is flourishing, and my parents are thrilled she has accepted them as bonus parents. My mother loves teaching her to cook, and they enjoy their time together. My younger siblings and Melina all adore her. She went from an orphan to having an instant family. She feels like she’s the lucky one, but I know that I’m the truly lucky one. I was cuddled up watching her sleep, which is my daily routine. I was dreading leaving the house, but we have to go to the Council today.
It was stipulated in the former contract that we would conduct at least one mediation if a new contract weren't agreed upon. This was the final step before we could walk away.
