Tatiana wasn’t surprised to find a little bit of a crowd at the table in the dining room. She knew all the faces, and they knew her and her story. She therefore tried to act proud and yet pitiful at the same time. Quite the fitting act for the scorned princess, she thought to herself derisively. “Princess Tatiana,” one of them said in greeting as he bowed his head slightly. “What a pleasant surprise!” She nodded curtly at the man, and then cast her eyes down for a fleeting moment before smiling bleakly. “It shouldn’t come off as such a surprise though,” she countered. “I am after all known as the scorned princess.
