Luciana's POV I couldn’t bring myself to eat the food before me, my grip tightening around the fork in my hand. A thousand thoughts raced through my mind, including the fleeting idea of stabbing him in the neck with the fork, but I couldn’t do that in front of my son. My gaze fixed on Romano, sending daggers at him, my chest heaving with fury. I looked over at my son, sitting across from me, oblivious to the tension. He continued eating as if we were in our own home. “Why aren’t you eating?” Romano’s voice pulled me from my trance. I turned to him. “Is the food not to your liking?” “You don’t like it, Mom?” Leo asked, his innocent eyes on me, waiting for a reply. “I don’t have an appetite,” I said, offering him a small, weary smile. “Why?” Romano questioned, earning a glare from me.
