Looking at herself in the full-length mirror, she straightens out her long satin dress. A knock on her door pulls her out of her daydream.
“Wow, baby girl, you look beautiful!” Her dad stands back, putting his hand over his heart.
“Dad, isn’t there like an undercover job I can quickly run to? It’s easier arresting crime bosses than doing this!" She says sounding slightly out of breath.
He picks up her champagne glass, pouring some for himself.
“To the best daughter in the world. May your life be filled with blessings from this day forward.”
