Temperance's POV
Jeff and Raven ran ahead of me through a forest surrounded by flowers and beautiful waterfalls. My legs pumped as hard as they could to reach my family. But every time I tried to touch them, they would run faster and remain elusive.
"Come on, Mommy. Tag Daddy," Raven's voice echoed from the trees. I tried to see where Jeff had gone, and he had disappeared.
"Jeff!" I shouted into the nothingness. "Jeff!" I saw my daughter flit past me. "Raven, come here, Raven," I called to her and followed her to a clearing. Then I heard her screaming, and I ran towards her.
She was in the clearing kneeling over Jeff's bloody body.
"DADDY!" She screamed as I ran to pick her up. I looked down at Jeff's lifeless eyes and his pale form.
