I woke up to a ray of sunshine flickering over my face, and my lashes fluttered to find Jace already awake beside me. He was quiet and in thought, but as soon as he noticed I was awake, he smiled at me. “Hey.” He pulled me closer so that my body pressed against him, and his chest hair tickled my skin. “Hey!” I giggled. “You’ve been up for long?” I raised my brow. He shook his head and said, “Not for very long.” “You were deep in thought.” His eyes flickered in surprise. “I didn’t know I was that deep.” “You were.
