Two weeks had passed since Kael left, and I still hadn't heard from him. I was starting to worry when the witch doctor arrived at my door.
"Come in," I said, stepping aside to let her in. "I'm glad to see you again."
The witch doctor nodded and walked into the mansion's parlor. She looked around at the opulent furnishings and seemed to take in the space with a sense of awe.
As she surveyed the opulent surroundings, the witch doctor turned back to me with a hint of surprise in her voice. "This is quite the place. I had no idea the Alpha lived in such luxury."
I offered a small shrug in response. "I don't think he actually lives here. He told me this was his family's estate, not his personal residence. But please, have a seat. We haven't really spoken since you first arrived."
