"Change of plan," Kael announced as he stepped outside the house. "Charlie and I will be going with you."
I looked at Charlie and then at Kael. "I thought you would be meeting with Malik to plan how you would deal with Alpha Duncan."
"You're more important, sis. Kael has already instructed Malik," Charlie said.
On our road back home, the sun dipped below the horizon, casting an ethereal glow across the vast expanse of the countryside.
