Despite how much I wanted to stay with my mate, now that I have her back, I had to go to work. One of my businesses was in trouble, and I spent the last three days doing meetings with lawyers, clients and contractors to find a solution. The venture consisted in assembling electronic devices in a factory in China out of parts produced in other Asian countries. Because of some political shenanigans the government has implanted higher importation taxes on that category of products coming from China. Increase in costs meant also a higher price. We were already struggling with sales, and the new price would put us in disadvantage with our competitors.
