“Philip, do you have more information about her? I heard you are spending an awful amount of time with the usurper lately. So, I assume you got to know something useful.” Henrik’s voice resonated between my thoughts.
There was quite some time I didn’t tell Henrik anything, he was growing impatient, I could hear it in his voice.
I looked at Victoria playing with the pups, she was helping little Jama to stretch, and they were giggling. A smile curled up on my lips at this, but it went away as fast as it came. Henrik was waiting for my reply, for me to betray the female I was developing feelings for.
I swallowed hard, “No, Henrik. There is nothing new, I will let you know when I learn something,” I dismissed him.
Now, I wasn’t only lying to Victoria, but to Henrik as well.
