Chapter 5 “Miller. Wake up.” The pillow was attached to his face and wet with sweat. Popping an eye open, Kieran slapped Trent’s hand off his head. “Leave me alone. I’m tired.” He heard Trent go around the bed, obviously fumbling for something. “What are you looking for?” Kieran asked him impatiently, sitting up with effort. “What are you doing in my bedroom?” “Where d’you put the rent envelope?” Kieran immediately understood and his blood pressure shot up. “What? No way. You’re not taking any of the rent money out.” “I’ll stuff it back in there by the time rent comes around.” Trent scowled. “I need it for my bus pass.” “Walk.
