JaneVera's POV Neven. His name alone made my stomach twist with hatred. I stared at the glowing screen, my throat tightening before I finally swiped it open. Fifteen missed calls. Then the messages appeared, one after another. > Neven: Jane, where the hell are you? I've been calling all night. You left your things here. My stomach knotted. > Neven: You left your luggage here. You should come home and talk to me before you do something stupid. I scoffed under my breath, my jaw tightening as I started typing a cold, simple reply:> I'll come by to pick up my luggage. Nothing more. Exhaling shakily through my nose, I leaned forward. "Change of destination," I said suddenly. The driver glanced back, brow raised. "Where to?" "Redwood Estate," I said after a beat, my voice low.
