GRACE
Nothing was easy after the battle. Many things were broken and had to be rebuilt. I wish we could use our magic to make things easier. We live in a magical world after all, but there are just some things that need to be done the normal way.
“You should get some rest. We’ll take care of this,” Erika said to me.
They tend to the wounded while trying to locate the others. We couldn’t avoid the fact that there were casualties in the midst of the battle. It was war. There are bound to be casualties.
“Just a little bit more–”
“Grace, you need to rest. Kane has been looking for you for a while now,” Ulric insisted. He’s been trying to get me inside the house but I kept saying no.
But when he mentioned our child, a warm feeling touched my heart. Everyone needs me, but so does my child.
