We spent the following weeks with endless shopping and purchases. We had two reasons to go shopping, one for our wedding and the other for our new house. I thought that the one month before our wedding was going to be very draggy but with college, exams, and shopping, the days went faster and now we were left only with a few days before the wedding date.
"Stand still, Mini.." Mom chided, as she helped me drape the yellow silk saree with purple border around me. And no, I wasn't getting ready for my wedding but for the housewarming ceremony that Ela and I decided to have prior to our wedding so that we could start living there right after.
"When are you going to learn to do this on your own, Mini? What will you do once you get married? I will not be there to help you every time..
