Minu was discharged and back home the next morning. I carried her from my jeep to our bedroom as she still had some minor injuries to deal with.
"It's nice to be back home.." She sighed resting her head against my chest.
"Yes.." I agreed, content with her snuggling into the crook of my neck. "And it's even better to be just you and me again.."
She giggled at my words because that's what we two have been constantly feeling with Veena around us. I placed her on our bed which I had cleaned and changed the night before when the doctor confirmed Minu's discharge.
"But I feel sorry for Veena. What we did to her is wrong.." She said on a serious note. I sat on the edge of the bed and took her hand in mine.
"I know and I have apologized to her for that.."
