❀ Amy ❀ The sun rose like it had been waiting for this day. Bright. Bold. Unapologetically golden. It was, however, such a beautiful day. I glanced at Eva in the backseat as I parked in the packed parking lot of Willow Creek Elementary. “I’m sure you must be so excited,” I remarked casually as Eva bounced in her seat. She shot me the biggest smile. “So excited,” she replied. The school grounds had been transformed into a colorful festival of laughter, cheering parents, judging teachers, and a kaleidoscope of team-colored shirts.
