Calvin sat and listened to Wil and Liam go back and forth on that contract, though there was no annoyance from either one of them and at times they both kind of laughed at things the other said. He looked at them at one point, as it dawned on him that those two men over at that table actually got along.
He didn’t think that it was that they were both in the same industry or even had things in common, because they had nothing to do with each other outside all of these meetings. He also didn’t think that it was that their personalities were the same.
It was that they had a common goal and so could think alike in trying to get what they each wanted. They were actively helping each other out with some of those clauses; they could both be objective regardless of who they were represe
