Chapter 94
Cora’s POV
The fish fry was a great time. We all sat around in chairs on the front parking pad, and they had two fryers going at the same time. One for fish and the other for fries and hushpuppies. That way, the food was done rather quickly, and both the fish and sides were still hot when you got them. Everything was delicious and they had made cookies for dessert, three different kinds. I saw Ava having a great time with Jacob and their chairs were a little ways off from the group and they were speaking quietly. They make me smile, watching them together.
“What is it like to model Cora?” one of the female officers at the firehouse asked me.
