The Trial The courtroom carpet is maroon, and the leather chairs of the Judge, witness, and attorneys are in the same maroon color. The Judge’s bench and witness box are one unit with the witness box to the left of the bench. There are two doors on each side of the bench. A court guard standing in front of each door. To the right of the room is a defendant’s table with two chairs and to the left the State attorney’s table and chairs. There is a wooden divider between the front part of the courtroom and the old design wooden benches for people who want to witness the trial. The courtroom is filled to the brim with reporters, curious news followers, family members of the girls who had been kidnapped, police officers who are here to show support for Sarah, and pack members.
