Vickie climbed into the limo, Ari was next, and Eric slid in behind her in the back, and the other guard climbed in the front with Tomas. Ari thought it a little strange, but then again, that was usually standard practice.
“So, how are things going with Carlton?” Ari diverted her attention away from the bodyguards, although they really hadn’t given her cause to worry. She guessed that her concern was because of everything she had been though lately, and because the bodyguards weren’t familiar. But she brushed it off, determined not to let it ruin their day.
“Good,” Vickie said, looking out the window.
“What’s the matter?” Ari asked, glad for the distraction.
Vickie shook her head. “Nothing. It’s just that he’s already wanting to get serious.”
