Lara's P.O.V
I was genuinely happy to see Tanner, but knowing I was leaving a place I took as a safe place probably made it seem to him like I wasn't happy that he was here at all. I just didn't know how to express my concerns to any of them. They were all so happy that I was finally able to leave this place and I felt that if I said anything it would only put a damper on their happy moods.
So I kept it to myself, and continued to pack the rest of my things... I should probably say something to him before he thought I wasn't happy about him being there, so I asked my mother and Tracy to give us some time alone. Again, I could see that little worried look crossing his face. Why was he so nervous? Did he think now that I was getting out of here that I changed my mind about being with him?
