Lara's P.O.V
Tanner looked at me deep in my eyes, and you know how that saying goes... you can see one's soul through their eyes? I never believed it until now. His eyes told me a thousand words, they filled with tears and when he closed them a tear slipped. He blew out a breath, then opened his eyes again.
"I love you more... so so so much more than you will ever know."
He whispered, Tanner lifted his hand to push my hair behind my ear and, without meaning to, I flinched away from him.
"I'm sorry, I don't want to be afraid anymore... I want you to touch me, to hold me whenever you feel like it."
I said, taking his hand and placing it on my cheek...
"We have our whole lives together. I can wait, I will always wait, Lara."
A soft knock sounded on the door and my mother poked her head
