It had only been a couple of minutes since we set foot inside the room. I was not expecting it to be easy. I was waiting for it - this woman to flaunt her fake identity, to deny everything I will throw at her, but there we were with another truth discovered.
From what I saw, Dad had triggered something in Mom. An emotion. A memory in the past that she held onto longingly.
"Wh-what?" I asked in confusion. I was thrown away by the revelation. From discovering my mother was alive, I was brought back to the past when I had my former secretary at work, the one Lexi took in as a friend, and the one who she was adamant to look for when the former went missing.
