We were back in the office the following day with Dane, as usual, getting busy. We missed a few days of work and he had a lot of things on his plate when we came back – documents to be reviewed and signed, meetings with the board members, department heads, and clients, read and reply to emails, and an out-of-town factory visit.
Jan already categorized the documents into urgent and not-so-urgent. To help Dane, I gave some not-so-important documents a review myself and wrote a summary for him. All morning I was seated beside him, working quietly as much as I could. I didn’t want Dane to lose concentration as he multi-task by reading emails, talking on the phone, and signing papers at the same time.
