Lexi POV
The weekend had gone so fast. Instead of worrying and feeling sad about anything else, I got excited first about the car Dane bought for me. It was a red 7-seater SUV, which we could use as one family after I gave birth to our little peanut. I actually offered to pay at least a small percentage of the accumulated allowance that he gave me monthly, but he would have none of it. It was to be delivered in two weeks’ time, so I had to do something while waiting.
It was already Tuesday morning and Dane had to go back to New York. As much as he wanted to stay, he still had work to do and pending issues to attend to.
