I fight against the thirst as a name I never expected to hear again pulses through my mind. A monster that I knew long before I became king. He wasn't born of our world, but was accepted into it. He should have been left to die for all the pain he caused after he was brought into the kingdom. He was a human who supposedly stumbled upon rogue vampires. Instead of bleeding him dry, they left him to turn. A made vampire is dangerous and out of control.
When the patrol came upon him, one of the guards was his beloved. She plead for his life and my father, the king, decided it was cruel to take him away from her. It took him twenty-one days to turn completely, and he almost died twice. It's unfortunate that he didn't. No one knew anything about who he was before he became a vampir
