As soon as I see Stephanie, anger flares inside me. My mother made one comment to her mother when we were children, and she has been obsessed with me ever since. I have made it perfectly clear I have no interest in her outside of friendship, but she makes even that impossible. Every girl I've ever been interested in miraculously changes their mind about dating me, but I've never been able to prove it was Stephanie who drove them away.
If she is messing with Georgia, we will have more than words. She will not jeopardize my bond because of her infatuation. I have never led her to believe that anything will ever be between us. Everything in me wants to step closer to Georgia and pull her into my arms, but until I clear up this misunderstanding, I resist the urge to touch her. S
