"Dad, what's going on," Alfonso asks, bringing me out of my thoughts. "The woman that is in the cells is my second chance beloved." He stares at me in disbelief for a long pause before a huge smile spreads across his face. I feel like I can breathe again seeing his reaction. I didn't know how he would feel about me being with Serina.
I knew it would change anything after my conversation with Maddie, but I want Alfonso to accept her. I want him to be happy that I've been given this chance by the goddess. "I don't mean to interrupt my king, but Serina is asking to speak with you. I don't think she realizes that you, her beloved, are the king," Michael says with a smirk.
Without another word, I make my way out the door and down the hallway with Michael on my heels. "Congratula
