Lyra The guards were badly outnumbered, but they still fought like hell to hold the rogues back. They swung their swords with clean, practiced skill and dropped a few of the attackers. Even so, there were simply too many, and it didn’t take long before the guards were completely surrounded. I watched in horror as one of them got overwhelmed, his sword flying from his hand.
