I could hear my heart pounding loudly in my ears as I hurried to the hospital. Fear and worry squeezed my chest after getting the news that Lyra got hurt during training. I'd always thought of Thorian as a careful and skilled fighter. So, I'd trusted him to keep her safe.
But this sudden update left me completely stunned. She was still healing, and she needed more time to get stronger, yet she kept getting injured. I picked up my speed, driven by the need to reach her.
"Why did it have to happen again?" I muttered quietly, wondering how serious it was this time.
I couldn't stand waiting to hear the details or the whole story of what went wrong. I just needed to get to her and check if she was alright. Was she okay? Did she hurt herself so badly that...
