THREE YEARS LATER
Lucian POV
“Daddy…” A little voice invades my ears interrupting my dream. “Daddy.” The voice is excited. I feel cold air pierce my chest as my blanket is pulled from my body. Pressure replaces the covers and little whisps of breath tickle my neck. I open my eyes and see tiny indigo orbs staring up at me from my chest. “Hi, Daddy!” Lexi greets me with a huge grin on her face. Her little head laid on my chest as she listens to my heartbeat. Her fingers that rest on my arm tap in the rhythm of my beating heart. “One, two, three, four.” She whispers as she counts them.
“Good morning jellybean.” I greet her. I wrap my arms around her and pull her down into my bed to cuddle with me. I could sleep for a few more hours if she would let me. “Let’s go back to sleep,” I mumble
