Freya POV The memories of this evening wash over me and I break. I cry in Elias’ arms yet again. He holds me and lets me melt against him. He is here for me, here for me to feel my emotions, here for me to break down. The smell of his aroma is calming like the hot water that caresses my body. “I killed him, love. He will never touch you again,” he whispers in my ear. His words take me by surprise, and I quit breathing. “He’s gone?” I ask hopeful. “Mmhmm” he answers. This man has come from the heavens to protect me. He swooped in like my guardian angel and has been there for me more than my own pack. Butterflies dance in my stomach at the love that I feel radiating from him, and I am reminded of my mother’s words. “When you find your fated mate, you will not doubt his love for you.”
