SAM The wind whipped by, tugging at my hair and making it hard to open my eyes. I was astride Fifi’s back, holding on the best I could. My legs wrapped around her waist, locking me in place, and I reached over her wings to grip her shoulders. I’d almost lost my grip more than once, but Fifi must have sensed it. She’d slow down and let me get my bearings before turning the speed on again. The kids made this seem much easier than it actually was.
