Remi entered our bedroom as I was tossing aside my phone. Ryker waved as he shut the door. I nodded to tell him he was safe to leave for the night. Pip was with all the pups at my parents’ house, and it was safe to bet he was returning there.
“Hey,” she said, coming right over to me. “How’s everything on the Council front?”
“No better than it was before,” I admitted. “How goes the research?”
“Probably worse,” she sighed. “I talked with Vilairus.”
“Oh?” I asked.
“Is Remi back?” Cullen linked me.
I answered him while she went on, “If Fifi goes back to her home with him, their father might kill her. I guess she is supposed to find a mate and become Queen.”
