I slammed another book closed, and Sammy glared at me. “Yeah, yeah,” I waved her off. I knew the books were old and should be handled with care, but we were getting nowhere. There had to be more than the written accounts of this fire ravaging parts of the Supernatural Realm.
“Luna,” Ryker linked me.
“Yes?”
“I’ve just been informed that Fifi is awake,” he reported.
I turned to Sammy. She immediately noticed that something was going on. “Fifi is awake,” I told her.
“She is?” she gasped and rocketed from her chair. “Is she okay? Is she still smoking?”
“I don’t know,” I shook my head.
“We shouldn’t leave them alone,” Sammy said. “What if they pick up fighting right where they left off? Vilairus was being civil with us, but I get the impression Fifi rubs him the wrong way.”
