“What is going on?” I shouted as I ran out toward the training field. “Why am I being summoned?” A frantic warrior dragged me from my office, telling me I had to come out to the training ground immediately.
“I don’t know what happened,” Ryker said quickly. He held up his hands, and I saw blood. I took a second to take in the scene I had just crashed in on. Six bodies were sprawled out on the ground. Each one had someone else hovering over them. Blood was everywhere.
“I’m going to need an explanation quickly,” I told him. “And we need medical help NOW!” Two frightened faces hurried away, hopefully going to get help.
“Things just… I don’t know. They got out of hand,” Ryker said, rubbing a bloody hand over his head while he tried to figure out where things went wrong.
