When we arrive home, we are drained. Demetri drops our things by the door and immediately heads upstairs. He is just as exhausted as I am right now. It’s getting dark out and my stomach growls hard. I haven’t eaten since yesterday so I head to the kitchen and pull out a frozen pizza. Popping it in the over, I grab a bottle of wine and a glass before slowly walking upstairs. I’m drained and just overwhelmed so this bottle of wine may not last long. In the bedroom, I hear the shower going. I step over Demetri clothes, too tired to pick them up like I usually do. Hell, I could care less about them right now. I sit on the edge of the bed for a moment to just rest a bit. I’ve missed this house and this bed. I can’t wait for it to hug me just right tonight.
