Maggie is a hoot. There’s no question who is in control of her story…it’s her all the way and menfolk had best beware.
I’ve written a couple of go-getter Latinas before—most notably Sofia Forteza in Wild Justice (Delta Force #3) and Alejandra in Love’s Second Chance (Delta Force short stories #5).
But I set two challenges for Maggie Torres. The first one was a surprise for both of us—she’s a Latina from…Oregon. Who woulda thought? However, it does make a great deal of sense. There is a large Mexican immigrant population in the state. They were initially drawn there as workers for the massively productive Willamette Valley farms.
