JOE TREADWAY DROVE his personal vehicle a little slower than the speed limit, south down State Route 97 to the fork with Route 45. To his right was mostly farmland divided here and there by patches of woods only an acre or so deep. To the left, it was a different story. Dense woods lined the route on that side all the way to the tiny village of Morelville, which sat nestled just north of the Blue Rock State Forest.
