Chapter 24 - Horace
“We dropped Loring off at the hospital,” Shane reported to Mel. “Her sister is with her. Right now, she’s barely conscious. Gloria said she’d let us know when she was more coherent and we could question her, but even if she comes around tonight, we probably ought to leave that for tomorrow.”
“Agreed,” Mel said. “It will keep.”
“Do you want a guard posted there, Sheriff?” Shane asked.
“No. I don’t think that will be necessary. I think everyone that needs to be is in custody.” In one way or another. “Are you on your way here? What about her dog?”
“Andrea is still with me and we’re on our way back. We sent the dog with patrol. They’re going to drop him at her vet to be checked over. We’ll be there in about ten mikes.”
