"Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you." - Tyrion Lannister, Game of Thrones
Amaya and Cole stood with Ambrose and Carlisle facing the enemy. They were in their large ballroom and was standing threateningly in their home.
The man who called himself challenging her mate, was Mieczyslaw Bright. A Poland native demon, he was almost completely covered in black skin, besides his head and seemed to be more interested in that then the thrown.
Cole tried to be diplomatic but Mieczyslaw glared at him hissing, "You think I want some half-ass bargain from you? You're nothing but a tainted demon! You don't deserve to be king!"
Cole looked to his family and nodded, "Well then, let this be a battle between me and you then," And then they were gone.
Amaya pushed Ambrose down when an arrow came flying to him and threw a curse at the blonde b***h with the arrows. The lucky b***h skillfully deflected it before it could harm her.
Her twin brother began running Amaya's way, he also armed with a bow. Amaya moved gracefully, dodging the arrows like they were a f**k boi at a concert.
The demon dog the intruders had brought with them was released and went after Ambrose. It's vicious red eyes glowing with power and blood lust as it charged. A big man in all black running after Carlisle like a professional ninja had Amaya worried but she couldn't concentrate with arrow boy coming at her.
Amaya teleported and hit the blonde boy in the face, he tried to swing back with his bow, but she kicked him in the chest sending him flying into a wall. Seeing his sister coming to his aid, Amaya hit her with a blood curse that f****d with the nerves in the body.
The blonde woman went stumbling because of Amaya's spell and shot an arrow clumsily barely missing her.
Amaya jumped out of the way and suddenly levitated in mid-air.
"Me ne de qual suurentaa! "
An ancestral projection of Amaya jumped from her body and ran at the woman, breaking her neck.
Her twin made a noise of pain having felt his sister's death like it was his own. He could feel his sister's power inside of him now and it drove him mad knowing she was gone. But knowing who to blame, the man stood and with severe point accuracy, he shot five arrows at Amaya. Amaya heard someone cry out as she dodged out of the way and saw Ambrose bleeding from the demon dog having bit him.
Nearly missing an arrow to the head, Amaya tried to slow down to think.
But her opponent was now wreckless, angered from the death of someone he loved.
He loaded up magic arrows that glowed at her menacingly, "Your going to die you blood w***e!" The blonde boy hollered, blue eyes full with the promise of death.
Time seemed to slow down as Amaya thought on her feet and held up her hands, "Bruciare supe terram, faciendo ignis ga praemium." In seconds the wall behind her attacker was knocked down.
Running to a bleeding Ambrose and a weak and grey Carlisle, Amaya teleported them away. They were in the pixie forest and when approached by the queen, Amaya begged for her to help her family while she saved them.
The Queen agreed out of fondness for the girl and had her people take Ambrose and Carlisle. When Amaya teleported back to the castle she shed her ripped dress for a black dress. She called forth Luna and asked her familiar where Sophia and Topaz were. "Safe mistress, they are with the dragons who promised to look after them so I may help you here."
Amaya smiled and stroked the sabertooth tiger's head, "My faithful protector, I need your assistance with getting rid of a dog. May you help me?"
Luna bowed, "Of course."
As Amaya went to deal with the assassins' running amok in her home, Luna went to do as she asked her.
Luna found the demon dog barley its teeth to a young woman. She growled alerting him to her presence. The dog barked and snapped at the tiger as the woman ran to getaway. Luna snarled as the dog bounded to her, but wasn't tricked when it jumped through a shadow.
When it came out behind her, Luna turned and bit down on its leg. The dog whimpered as his leg was crushed in the tiger's powerful jaws before throwing Luna off. The demon dog's forehead glowed red trying to magically decapitate the tiger since it couldn't match in strength.
But suddenly Luna held a lantern in her mouth. The blue light radiating from it outshining dog's power, making him flatter to the ground with a pained wine. Luna claimed the demon mutts spirit into the lantern, more power from another animal she's taken for her own.
When the powerful creature left, she stepped over the now charred carcass of the demon dog.
And at that time Amaya was in the fight for her life.
She had mortally wounded the blonde guy with the bow. But the man in black was relentless. He kept coming at Luna with power and agility, never giving her an opening to hit him back. When he punched her sending her flying into the wall she grunted but still stood back up.
The man sighed looking her over, "I don't see why you two despicable people even want to rule. You're both a cursed abomination with no love in your heart. You should just give.up."
Amaya could feel the compulsion as her head began to swim in pain and agony, the man chuckled as he kept pushing for her to break, "You know I'm right. What are you anyway? A witch? No. A demon? No. You're just a bloodthirsty monster who kills and hurts people for her own gain. What the f**k do you know about being a queen? Being anything but a blood craving witch w***e!? You don't know love, you don't deserve too."
Amaya would have slipped into despair; She would have forgotten herself and everything she was if he hadn't been wrong.
"I'm not loveless. I do care." Rising Amaya felt power build inside of her as her body seemed to focus on the man in front of her, "I was cruel and vindictive. Not because I wanted to be, but because I thought being the cursed broken witch that I am no one would ever love me. But someone did, and he is everything to me."
The man grunted as he felt his lungs constricting, his head hurting, a heavy lump in his stomach, "I am not just the Queen of Valor, I am the Queen of Witches," A gold crown headpiece with a black veil appeared on Amaya's head as she held up her hand and hissed, "And you have outstayed your welcome in my kingdom."
And then she crushed the pathetic man's windpipe. Turning to see the blonde man trying to crawl away Amaya walked to him, "Was this worth it?"
The blonde man faced her, "You're not fit to rule!" Amaya shook her head, "Because of what I am? I've been told I am less than because of what I am my whole life." The man laughed bitterly, his teeth stained with blood, "You're an abomination! A witch cursed with demon's blood! You're not fit to rule over demons if you're not truly one yourself."
Amaya looked down at the dying man, "And yet I plan for peace, a life where someone like me, someone like you will be happy. Content. It is ignorance that matches yours that will ruin it." The man sniffed, "You're nothing but a cursed, damned, creature! You were never meant to ascend! Neither of you." The man looked at his dead sister on the floor with tears in his eyes, "At least we won't be here to see it."
And then he died, the light leaving his eyes. Amaya heard something clashing and ran out to the balcony. Seeing to power forces clashing in the woods, Amaya held her necklace from Cole in her fingers worried, "Remember what you are fighting for Cole...remember it's for us."
