In a heartbeat, Lucius stood in front of me protectively.
“We are just here to talk, Edor,” Lucius said loudly.
“Edor does not talk to people of your kingdom, not anymore.”
I stood there behind Lucius, listening to their conversation. Edor’s voice held anger it was becoming clear to me he was not in the mood to help us.
I didn’t understand why he was angry, he betrayed the people of his own kingdom.
I zoned out for a while when I started listening to their conversation again, everything was the same.
Edor was not ready to have a conversation with us.
I stepped aside, “I am not from the kingdom, your rule of not talking to the people of the kingdom doesn’t apply to me,” I said loudly.
