I woke up the next morning to find Gabriel once again missing from the room. To be honest, I didn’t know what time he slept or where he slept. My period cramps were not so bad after the doctor’s medicine, but I still spent the previous day sleeping. Pushing myself up, I removed my duvet to find that there was a hot water bottle near my lower abdomen.
Who kept it? Did someone help sponge my lower abdomen with warm water?
All I recall was that just before I went to sleep, I was squeezing my lower abdomen in discomfort, going in and out of the bathroom from time to time, and crying in pain. It was Gabriel who patted my head until I fell asleep.
