Chapter 1 Aria’s POV I shifted a little when I felt something on my skin, like someone’s hand brushing against me. My eyes were half-open, heavy with sleep, my mind foggy and sluggish, but I could still feel it. Even half-asleep, I knew something was happening around me. My head turned slowly, confused. The room was dark, only a faint light spilling in from the hallway through the half-open door. It was dim and strange, the shadows stretching across the walls.
