I make it a point to keep my promises to Calum. I take pride in knowing that he trusts me fully, and I don't plan on changing that anytime soon. However, when I promised that I wouldn't bother Shawn in school, I wasn't so sure at first. Which is why I told Shawn to meet me in some alleyway a few blocks away from school grounds.
It wasn't like I was going to do something really dramatic. I just needed to make sure that what Shawn did to Calum, he would never be able to do to anyone ever again.
The cigarette on my lips was almost done by the time Shawn appeared. I took my time taking in the last drag, keeping the smoke in before exhaling through my nose.
"You wanted to see me?"
"I'd prefer it if I never saw you at all, if I'm being honest. But we need to have a little chat."
