When I woke up, the space beside me was empty.
I figured Calum was just downstairs. I grabbed my phone from the bedside table, heading to the bathroom before I got down and was surprised that Calum wasn't anywhere to be found.
What's weird was that he didn't leave any message.
I heard the front door twist open. It was Ashton who had on his headphones and was wearing gym shorts with a black tank top. Sweat dripped from his skin, still slightly out of breathe. He took off his headphones when he greeted me. "Hey, Luke. You're up early."
"Did Calum say anything to you before he left?"
"I didn't even know he left already," Ashton grabbed himself a glass of water, chugging it down in seconds. "Maybe his parents needed him for something."
"If that were the case, he would've texted.
