With a new feeling of determination, I finished my breakfast. It tasted like saw dust, and I hated it. Still, I pretended to enjoy it. For Jay'el and Karla's sakes.
I impatiently waited for the two of them to do the dishes. The longer I watched their lovey-dovey banter, the more annoyed I got.
I miss Axton so much. I hope he's doing okay. I wonder if he misses me too.
Of course, Axton misses me. I know he didn't want to go. He just.. was doing what he thought he had to for my sake.
It makes me feel kind of guilty. If I were just different.. If I weren't born a Hybrid.. Then maybe Axton and our bond would be easier.
I shouldn't dwell on what I can't control though. I need to stay focused, and find the information that Axton needs me to. I have to read as much as I can about my people.
