KATE Marco's face turned ashen at my words, his eyes widening in shock, fear, and concern. “The baby is coming as in right now? Are you sure, Katherina?” He asked hurriedly, his voice cracking slightly with the weight of the moment. “Because you’re not nine months yet, and for all you know, it could be one of those things that will…” He trailed off at the mean glare I gave him, but before I could tell him off for mansplaining my pain, another bout hit me, making me clutch my stomach even tighter than before as I tried to ride out the intense sensation. The pain was there, intense, but there was also something missing, like some signal my body hadn’t fully given yet. I took a few deep breaths, trying to calm myself down enough to think straight. I don’t know, but it didn’t feel normal
