"Pearl's mother hated her?" Shane asks and I nod.
"But this bastard is so sure that Pearl's mother loves her. Do you think henbane is working on him?" He asks again and I look at Maxwell who is still looking at us with his eyes almost droopy.
"Or maybe Pearl thought that her mother always hated her" I whisper and turn my attention to Maxwell again.
"So now what do you mean when you say that she had her mother's love and you never had it?" I pause and look at him "You are the Luna's son but she was the Mistress's daughter"
