Sleep does not arrive for me even though I have spent hours inviting it. I ferry between reading, watching late night television, and trying to succumb to my exhaustion. I continuously fail in the last endeavor; the first two endeavors are supposed to help with the whole falling asleep thing but they don't. At some point I give up on the cursed trinity, laying on my back in the pitch-dark, eyes stinging every time I blink. It's a frustrating thing, as all of us know since all of us have been there at some point or other, to be laying in bed beyond fatigue but unable to sleep because the mind is wide awake. When the brain and rest of the body is in unity we think nothing of it; as soon as they are not in unity all we can think about is how much we wish they were. At some point it starts
